The Nisqually wildlife refuge is an important location for migratory
birds and other wildlife. Migratory birds use it as a place
for feeding and resting as they make their journey during the migration
seasons. The refuge is located on the edge of the Puget
Sound. It is home to many shorebirds on the mudflats
and marshes. The fresh water ponds and marshes
provide food and resting areas for ducks and geese.
This video is from our visit to the refuge on Saturday, August 29th,
2009.
